Interior Painting

Crack & Lining Paper Repair
We repair cracks and damaged surfaces before decorating to achieve a smooth, long-lasting finish. Our repair process typically includes raking out the crack, stabilising unstable surfaces with Zinsser Peel Stop where required, applying mesh tape, filling with a high-quality flexible filler, sanding smooth, priming and finishing with the selected topcoat.
We also repair loose or lifting lining paper by carefully re-adhering affected areas whenever possible. If sections are too damaged to repair, we can replace them before repainting or hanging new wallpaper.
Stain Blocking
Water stains, nicotine marks and smoke damage are treated with specialist primers like (Zinsser Cover Stain, Zinsser Bin) to prevent stains bleeding through the new paint.

Before and After projects
Letterstone Rd (SW – West London)
In this open-plan living room renovation, the ceiling lining paper had completely detached. After removing all the remaining lining paper, we repaired minor imperfections with filler, sealed the surface with Zinsser Gardz to stabilise it, and applied two coats of Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt White, leaving the ceiling with a smooth, uniform finish.
Theydon Bois (CM16)
In this bedroom renovation, the client requested wallpaper removal and the installation of a picture rail, with colour drenching above the rail. The walls were stripped of wallpaper and sealed with Zinsser Gardz to stabilise the surface. The picture rail was fixed to the walls using adhesive and nails, with a laser level to ensure a perfectly straight line. After priming the picture rail with Zinsser BIN, all gaps were caulked before applying the final top coats.

Which paint brands do you recommend?
Dulux Trade is our preferred choice, along with Zinsser products for primers and specialist coatings. However, we’re happy to work with other high-quality brands if requested.
How long does it take to paint a room?
Most standard rooms can be completed in 1–2 days. However, the exact timeframe depends on the condition of the surfaces and the scope of the work. For example, whether only the walls need painting or if the ceiling, woodwork, doors and any necessary repairs are also included.

Always.
Can you remove wallpaper before painting?
Yes. In most cases, we recommend removing the wallpaper before painting to achieve the best and longest-lasting finish. However, if the wallpaper is firmly bonded, in excellent condition and suitable for painting, we may recommend painting over it after the correct preparation and the use of specialist primers.
